With the Olympics not far away, we decided to give you an A-Z rundown of the hottest athletes to look out for in each event.

Usain Bolt
Country: Jamaica
Achievements: With the nickname ‘lightening bolt’, this man is the one to see this summer. Having beaten the world record for the 100m and 200m at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Bolt is out to impress in London.
Single/Taken: Yes, there is a Mrs Lightening! Usains current girlfriend is Mizicann Evans.
Archery
Amy Oliver
Country: Great Britain
Achievements: After winning gold at the European Championships in 2007, and being part of the team that took silver at the Commonwealth Games in 2012, it’s not surprising Amy is ranked as the No1 at the World Championship trials this year.
Single/Taken: Taken (but not married…!)

Boxing
Bradley Saunders
Country: Great Britain
Achievements: Bradley is already a world bronze medallist having competed at Beijing in 2008. He is ready for the games this year and is very likely to be seen on the podium in July.
Single/Taken: The British boxer has a long-term girlfriend. Oh well…
Badminton
Nathan Robertson
Country: Great Britain
Achievements: He won silver in the mixed doubles in Athens and has six commonwealth medals to his name. He hopes 2012 will bring a golden end to his career.
Single/Taken: Single..at the moment. Although he plays a lot with badminton partner Gail Emms, he is still on the look-out for love. Woohoo!

Achievements: Well, what hasn’t he done? This cycling hotty is four times Olympic champion and eleven times world champion.
Single/Taken: Sadly, he is very much taken. He married Sarra Kemp in 2010. Still, we can dream.

Tom Daley
Country: Great Britain
Achievments: Considering he will only be 18 at London 2012, Tom has already proven he has what it takes. He was Britains youngest competitor at the 2008 Olympics before becoming World Champion in 2009. He has also won the BBC young sport personality of the year three times!
Single/Taken: With all his time spent in the pool, Tom doesn’t seem to have found time to find a girlfriend…not that we’re complaining!

Equestian
Zara Phillips
Country: Team Great Britain
Achievements: Apart from being a royal and marrying rugby hotty Mike Tindall, Zara won the individual gold and team silver medals at the World Equestrian Games in 2006 as well as winning the BBC sports personality of the year. Not bad!

Boris Sanson
Country: France
Achievments: The French Fencer won the gold medal at the 2006 world fencing championships in the team event. he then went on to win the team gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Single/Taken: Single. The fit fencer is still on the hunt for a girl. Bonjour!
Football
Jack Wilshere
Country: Great Britain
Achievements: Voted 2011 PFA Player of the Year and has also ended the campaigns as Arsenal’s player of the season.
Single/Taken: Sadly he is taken. He also has a son with his girlfriend.

Louis Smith
Country: Great Britain
Achievements: Louis became Britain’s first Olympic gymnastics medallist for 80 years in Beijing. He then went on to win two silvers at the 2010 European Championships and a bronze at the 2011 European championships. He also once auditioned for X factor, but didn’t make it past the judges. Keep to your day job Louis!

Heptathlon
Jessica Ennis
Country: Great Britain
Achievements: The hot heptathlete has become the face of London 2012. Not only does Jessica only compete in one event, but 10 making her a real talent in the GB squad. She has previously won Commonwealth games and World Championships.
Single/Taken: Jessica got engaged to her boyfriend last year and is looking forward to a summer wedding after the Olympics.
Handball
Ciaran Williams
Country: Great Britain
Achievements: Captain of the GB team, he was the first ever Brit to play in the German Bundesliga – the best handball league in the world.

Lolo Jones

Achievements: The track star has won two World Championships, looking to continue her reign at the Olympics this year. She also posed semi-naked for ESPN in 2009. Just saying!

Darya Klishina

Achievements: If medals were handed out for glamour then Darya would most definately be in with a chance of gold. But she’s much more than a pretty face and long legs. She ended 2011 ranked second best in the world and won the European Indoor Championships. She still holds the World Junior Record too.

Heather Fell

Achievements: Heather has won silver and bronze medals at the world championships, as well as gaining a silver medal at the Olympics in 2008. She looks to complete her collection by getting gold at the Olympics this year.

Tom James

Achievements: Tom was part of the coxless four in 2008 Beijing where he won became a gold medallist. After taking a year out, we will see him get back in the boat for London 2012.

Achievements: As the worlds best swimming (and hottest) Phelps holds the record for the most amount of Olympic medals, winning won 16 in total. Still he aims to get even more in London this summer.
Single/Taken: Phelps is newly single,having split from long-term girlfriend Nicole Johnson, a former Miss California. Which means were still in with a chance!
Fran Halsall

Achievements: Fran Halsall is quickly becoming one of the biggest names in swimming. She has been European Champion Commonwealth Champion and World silver medallist. Not bad!

Achievements: Martin is not one to be messed with! He has fought his way to win eight British championship gold medals and two silver medals at the European championships.
