Beth Ditto is the epitome of eccentric fashion and beauty. The Gossip singer, who is famed for being plus sized and loud mouthed, played XOYO last night to a venue of ecstatic fans. The American says she loves herself the way she is and if people don’t like it then that is TS (tough s**t)
Beth has the craziest eye make-up in the business, (she may even beat Nicki Minaj in that respect) and has now teamed up with MAC to inject some colour into peoples lives. The heavily lined eyes, purple pout and magenta cheeks is a far cry from a girl who never wore make-up until her early twenties. We take a look into her make-up bag and see how she manages to look so damn fabulous. Beth – we salute you.

Although the range has not hit the shops yet (how can we possibly wait until June?), we are still excited about Beth’s collaboration with MAC. Glastonbury may not be on this year but that’s an excuse to check out another fun filled music extravaganza. Happy Days Festival, which takes place in Surrey on 2nd and 3rd of June is the South East’s version of Glastonbury. The headlining acts include Jocelyn Brown (below) and Billy Ocean, with Soul 2 Soul performing a mash up of their greatest hits.
If you love soul music and just want an alternative to all that head-banging at Reading and Leeds, then Happy Days is perfect for you. It’s so chilled out that Johnny Depp and his family went last year. We can’t work out what’s more fun and fabulous – hanging out with an off-duty Johnny Depp or singing to the classic Soul II Soul. VIP Premiere: Snow White and the Huntsman

Sometimes Disney can have a little too much niceness to bear, so it’s refreshing when we see an adaptation of a fairytale with a dark twist. Last night we attended the UK premiere of Snow White and the Huntsman at the Empire cinema in Leicester Square and what a star studded event it was. Everyone, from the films heroine Kristen Stewart, to the evil Queen Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth and Lily Cole attended.
Kristen Stewart looked beautiful in a gown from Marchesca’s 2012 fall collection. The sheer skirt, skeleton design embroidery and black lace showed off Kristen’s athletic figure. The Twilight actress, who is currently filming the last installment of the vampire drama said fans will see a new side to Bella, and there are a lot more twists and surprises. WE CANNOT WAIT! When we caught up with K-Stew on the red carpet we had to know how her skin looks so bloomin’ flawless. The actress said she has a microdermabrasion facial every two weeks to buff up her skin and give it a good shine. Get us to a Bliss spa now!
Wicked Queen, Charlize Theron, looked magnificent in Christian Dior Couture and even made the black knickers she had on look sexy. The Monster actress, who has recently adopted a baby boy has said she couldn’t be happier, but motherhood is no walk in the park. The South African beauty said that the sleepless nights are difficult, but she wouldn’t change it for the world. We have to say, for a new mother, Charlize looked more attractive than ever – her secret is nude eyeliner. The blonde bombshell said that her make-up artist uses a nude pencil eyeliner to outline the inside of her eye for a brighter, wide eyed look. Next stop Benefit.
Chris Hemsworth, whose beautiful wife just gave birth to little girl India, looked like the cat that got the cream. Chris told us that the day his daughter was born was the best of his life, and nothing could ever top it. Awwwww. We love him even more now. Plus he looked super hot in his suit, so if you want to drool over him, do it now ladies.
Lily Cole, who also appeared in the movie, looked dazzling in a floor length, Alexander McQueen number. The flame haired model-turned Cambridge student-turned actress looked flawless and said her make-up bag essential is DiorShow mascara in black as it adds extra length to her lashes and opens up her eyes. We had better swing by Dior on the way home.

Who doesn’t love Queen? Clearly the celebrities do as many of them attended the We Will Rock You 10th anniversary performance at the Dominion Theatre in London’s West End last night. Everyone from Queen’s original band members Brian May and Roger Taylor to Dot Cotton herself, June Brown, attended the evening of musicality. We Will Rock you, written by Ben Elton, is set in the future where ‘globalisation is complete,’ and everyone wears the same clothes and takes part in the same activities. All musical instruments are banned and only boy and girl bands exist. However, underground live a growing community of Bohemians who are rebelling against the regime of organised music and a totalitarian society. There is a legend that musical instruments still exist and the Bohemians need a hero to hunt them down and change the world. Can they do it? Watch the show and find out!
We Will Rock You combines two of our favourite passions together – musical theatre and Queen. We’re not the only ones though and last night we sang and danced the night away with a whole host of celebrity guests who have fallen in love with the musical just as much as we have:
Queen’s remaining band mates, Brian May and Roger Taylor were there to support the anniversary of the hit show. The two musical legends, who have always said they are big fans of the Ben Elton hit said they hope it goes on for another ten years. Brian’s wife and Strictly Come Dancing star Anita Dobson, looked delightful in her sparkly dress and heels. The glamorous actress still looks in fantastic shape after the dancing reality show ended and said it is all down to regular Ashtanga Yoga classes, which keeps her fit, healthy and flexible. It looks like we are starting Yoga again doesn’t it?!
The big star of the evening was the arrival of Hollywood legend, Robert De Niro, who whipped the crowd into a frenzy. The Taxi Driver star is in town filming and thought he’d stop by as he is a massive Queen fan. We caught Bob and Brit actress Emma Thompson having a chin-wag in the reception area – how very showbiz darling.
Sugababe singer Heidi Range looked beautiful in her super slim and glitzy frock. The Dancing on Ice star had the most amazing, long eyelashes last night, and we thought they must be fake. Heidi reassured us that she only wears falsies on stage and these beauties are courtesy of Loreal Telescopic mascara. Get us to Boots now!

Why that Kimberly Wyatt’s gorgeous isn’t she? We saw the former Pussycat Doll perform with fellow Got To Dance judge Adam Garcia, in Revolution at London’s Theatre Royal last night and it was truly spectacular. Kimberly always looks so good, we wonder how she does it. Plus, the dancer is also launching a new lipgloss by BM Beauty – is there anything this girl can’t do?
Kim’s smokey eyes, flawless complexion and perfectly glossed lips is why we want to get her look. After we saw Kim at the theatre we had the urge to look through the beauty cupboard and find the pop stars tried and tested products:

When those Royals have a night out, they don’t do it by halves do they? Friday night saw the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attend Our Greatest Team Rises gala at the Royal Albert Hall. The black tie event, which was part-sponsored by British Airways, marked the final countdown to the London 2012 games and raise critical funds to support the competitors. The likes of Gary Barlow, Mel C, Will Young and Alfie Boe performed for the Royal couple. Whilst Britain’s Got Talent 2010 winners Spellbound gave an energetic performance, which apparently ‘stunned’ the newlyweds. The Duke made a touching speech before the festivities started and said: “For the athletes of Our Greatest Team, these Games mark the pinnacle of your sporting careers. I can only imagine it, competing at home in front of your countrymen and women, with the eyes of the entire world upon you. A dream come true.”
The Duchess looked magnificent in a teal Jenny Packman dress, whilst her locks were swept into a classic bun. The miniature gems in the delicate lace across her back and shoulders shimmered as Kate sashayed up the red carpet. Our favourite part of the outfit though had to be her ‘Vamp’ Jimmy Choo sandals, which glittered at the hem of her dress. Next stop for us is a much needed visit to the luxury footwear brand.
Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh looked like a fairytale princess in her big, white gown. The pretty blonde West End star looked a million miles away from her role as Princess Fiona in the Shrek musical. Kim always has immaculate make-up and her smokey eyes are the envy of many a diva in the music business. The singer told us that her ultimate weapon to create a smouldering eye is Benefit’s Bad Gal eyeliner. Get down to Benefit now to get your hands on the magical eyeliner.
Our favourite all time television presenter Davina McCall, (who also presented the gala) looked amazing in a midnight blue, one shoulder frock. The Million Pound Drop host looks as though she has been sticking to her no sweets policy and working hard at the gym. Davina confessed that she works out three times a week and eats three meals a day – she says you can eat pretty much what you want if you stick to those principles. We think it’s about time we get out Davina’s DVD again.
Talking of food, all guests tucked into a menu by Heston Blumenthal’s protegee Simon Hulstone (below)
The three course meal was:
Starter- Free range chicken and lightly smoked ham hock terrine with champagne soused new season vegetables and a jelly of wild celery and granny smith apple
Main- Slowly Braised British featherblade on spring cabbage and pancetta, oxtail and potato dumplings, confit young carrots with lemon thyme infused onions and a red wine jus
Dessert – Salted bitter chocolate mousse on a rich chocolate shortbread, tangy passion fruit gel wrapped in a crisp chocolate cylinder and accompanied by passion fruit yoghurt and freeze dried mango and coconut
And Simon has a treat for everyone who flies on BA this summer. The in-flight menus he has designed will have a 1948 theme, chosen because it was the last year London hosted the Olympics. This is a great excuse to book a flight – we can travel and enjoy fine food at the same time. Rillette of mackerel dressed on a pickled cucumber carpaccio with sour dough croute sounds particularly yum! More details here
Dame Kelly Holmes certainly did not look like a stereotypical athlete. The shimmery dress, a flash of cleavage and golden skin showed us why Kelly is a champion. When we caught up with the super toned gold medalist she told us that the secret to achieving a hot bod is to work your muscles. Kelly advised that we get a medicine ball, which you can use to do more intense squats, lunges and tummy crunches. If this is what will give us washboard abs then order us two please!
Mel C rocked this seasons must have colour…beige. The Spice Girl, who used to be very fond of athletics (she wasn’t called Sporty Spice for nothing), said she is more excited about watching the Olympics than she is of her new tour. Mel, who looked bloomin’ well gorgeous at the charity event said she is looking forward to watching the gymnastics and she even has tickets for the event. We have to say, Mel’s fashion has improved since being in the band. The singer told us that she loves Reiss and Victoria Beckham frocks as they give her an hourglass look. We think a shopping trip on Net-a-Porter is in need.
