The Live Like A VIP team are addicted to Keeping Up With The Kardashians so when we heard the bootylicious Kim was coming to London, we were on a mission to meet her. We thought we might explode with excitement when we got invited to her perfume launch party…and then we got invited to her Quick Trim diet product launch too. SQUEALS!
It gets better…we were asked if we wouldn’t mind taking part in the hit E! show, which we thought about for a nanoscend. Errr, YESSSSS Please!
The night started at London’s Rose club, where Kim was hosting the party to celebrate the launch of her newest fragrance True Reflections. (This is her 4th scent). Accompanied by her almost brother in law Rob Disick, Kim gave a speech thanking the crowd for coming and thanking the perfume manufacturers for making the smell. As you do…
Then it gets slightly more interesting as the drinks are poured. We thought Kim would be a bit of a Champagne girl (like us) but her favourite tipple is Midori. Yes, the green liqueur…
She looked fantastic in a red midi skirt with a black lace top, showing off her famous curves BUT we spotted a minor wardrobe malfuntion as the top lost some of its sequins and Kim kept touching herself as they fell off. She didn’t look very comfortable. However, she made the best of the situation and happily posed for some photos with some competition winners.
Ex rugby player Gavin Henson managed to charm his way into the VIP area so he was sat within metres of her but sadly for his ego, Kim didn’t have a clue who she was. Gavin was left cradling a midori for one as Kim swooshed out of the club less than an hour after arriving and went on to her next appointment, an outfit change along the way.
The second dress showed more of her physique, probably as she was there to promote her range of diet products, Quick Trim (buy online here). Again, there were lots of competition winners who ended up explaining to Kim all about The Only Way is Essex. Speaking to Lucie Cave from Heat, Kim smiles pleasantly but we don’t think she is that impressed. Here’s an exclusive video.
We’re not really allowed to give away any more than this but we’ll let you know when it airs on e! Are the Live Like A VIP team STILL Kardashian fans after a night out with the dazzling diva Just look at our happy faces below. Yes!

Kim Kardashian is in the UK, filming her amazing show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
We went behind the scenes and here are some photos of a storyline about her fragrance launch. Full story to follow…
Of course dresses will always be the order of the day for the red carpet, but off-duty, celebs, fashion editors and bloggers have helped champion the trouser as one of the top trends for 2012.
Singer Nicola Roberts, stylist Grace Woodward and blogger Bip Ling were among those papped in patterned pants at London Fashion Week earlier this year, representing the trend for eye-popping florals, animal prints and checks which is updating the humble trousers all over the high fashion and high street catwalks.
But it’s not just traditional trews that have been given a make-over this year. Jeans – that perennial off-duty celeb favourite – have also been afforded a new lease of life with pastel hues and primary colours, as well as popping patterns, bleached details and Seventies’ flares.
Bright and tight
Denim departments in high street stores have been brought to life this season with a rainbow selection of bottoms bound to cheer up any outfit. With colour blocking and pretty pastels two of the hottest trends this year, a pair of coloured jeans is an outfit-building essential for both day and night.
We love how Jessica Alba has clashed blue, green and pink to add interest to an everyday outfit, and are due to see green in bottle, grass and highlighter-bright shades become a key colour for jeans in A/W12/13.
But for the spring/summer season, it’s time to parade in pastels. From coral, peach and pink to baby blue, mint green and purple, these soft hue trews were among the most popular items snapped by street style photographers at London Fashion Week and Eva Longoria, Cheryl Cole and Katy Perry have all stepped out in a pair.
Look for skinny styles and wear with colour-clashing heels, a loose tee and blazer for the perfect balance between casual and chic. And make sure you choose your lingerie carefully to avoid VLPs.
Hippie or punk?
If coloured jeans aren’t for you, make a style statement with to fit and detail or your jeans. While skinnies aren’t going anywhere, Seventies flares have returned to the fashion forefront and edgy ripped and bleached styles are also proving a hit with celebs.
Katie Holmes, Paris Hilton, Vanessa Hudgens and the queen of boho chic Nicole Richie have been spotted rocking the flare this year. Tight-fitting on top with a long length, this style can help balance out curvy figures and add a few inches if worn with wedges to complete that Seventies look. Diesel jeans are among the top denim brands to bring this style back up to date and this trend is only going to get bigger in the summer months, when damp pavements are no longer a concern.
With the punk revival seeing studded hot pants, leather biker jackets and vintage band T-shirts become not just festival attire but high street fashion friendly, distressed denim is another key look this summer. Rihanna, Kate Bosworth and Rachel Bilson are among the celebs to have gone for grunge with ripped and bleached jeans and even the super-groomed Victoria Beckham is a long-time fan. This season look for skin-tight styles with bleached or stonewash effect and vertical rips on the legs and wear with simple black heels and basic top for effortless cool.
Who said celeb-style dressing was high maintenance? Invest in a pair of new-season staple jeans, a few good quality loose cotton tees, statement shoes (always) and your favourite perfume and you’re good to go…almost anywhere!

Recently we’ve posted hair and make-up videos on our Look Like A VIP YouTube channel - we’re on a mission to help you get top to toe glamour. The fact that we get pampered at the same time is just an added bonus, honest.
This week Live Like A VIP’s Sam investigates how to get red nails like Lana Del Ray. Check out the video at the bottom of this post to see how. What’s really great about Red Carpet Manicure DIY Gel Nails is they last for up to three weeks. Perfect for busy ladies (or men?)

VIP Awards: Ivor Novello Ceremony 2012

The Ivor Novello Awards are possibly one of the biggest achievements, (if you win one), in ones musical career. Last night, we saw the 2012 awards take place at Grosvenor House Hotel and what a star studded event it was. Everyone from Adele to Gary Barlow attended and many musicians were on hand to help the winners celebrate.
London girl Adele won the award, Most Performed Work for Rolling in the Deep. The Chasing Pavements singer wore a baggy, black dress and a statement gold necklace – which is a far cry from the glitz and glam of the Brits. As long as you’re comfortable Adele, that’s all that matters – you would look good in a bin bag!
Adele, who said this year that she will be taking a three year break from music doesn’t look like she is going to stop to us. We’ve heard rumours that she is working on new material as we speak. Hmmm, we wonder if the new album will be dedicated to her new boyfriend? At least this time the songs will be a little cheerier and not ful of heart break….we hope. As always Adele looked gorgeous, even if she was a little casual. She still had her trademark 60s eye flick, which she says is thanks to YSL Automatic Ink Eyeliner. Next stop for us is the YSL counter in Debenhams.
Our favourite ginger haired singer, (no, not Mick Hucknall), Ed Sheeran won Best Song Musically and Lyrically for The A-Team. The pasty skinned one was characteristcally humble and said winning an Ivor Novello was the best it can get. Since becomming a big pop star, Ed has made a dramatic change to his wardrobe and is looking rather sexy at the moment – we loved the suit, but did you have to wear those trainers?
Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen turned up for the ceremony with their partners and left with the Outstanding Contribution to Music award – that’s not a bad way to end an evening is it? Gary and Mark had their pregnant wives on their arms and both guys looked like the cat that got the cream. Both ladies looked glowing and Marks wife Emma said she has been smothering on the Palmers Cocoa Butter to stop the stretch marks – and it’s working. We had better get our mitts on some Palmers then.
Winners of the Ivor Novello Awards 2012:
Album Award: PJ Harvey - Let England Shake
PRS for Most Performed Work: Adele – Rolling In The Deep
Best Song Musically and Lyrically: Ed Sheeran – The A Team

We have officially 70 days until the beginning of the 2012 games and we are officially bursting with excitement. Yesterday saw HRH the Princess Royal, (that’s Anne to the Queen) receive the Olympic Flame at the Athens handover. Princess Anne was joined by Boris Johnson and our office pin up, David Beckham. The handover of the flame is a key milestone for each Olympic game as the torch relay rallies the world’s athletes to make their final preparations – we hope Jessica Ennis is limbering up!
With the torch now firmly in the grasp of the UK, (well, Princess Anne has it at the moment), but the torch will be en route around our beautiful Island and will come within 10 miles of 95% of people in the UK and channel Islands. For many areas lucky enough to have the flame pass through the community, it gives towns a chance to showcase the best bits of the place they call home. There is over 1,000 communities taking part in the torch rally and to find out if the Olympic icon will be passing through your town click here.
The Olympic Flame arrives on our shores in Cornwall today – EEK! If you can get to Cornish Airbase RNAS Culdrose then we suggest you take a trip down there, as this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the arrival of the torch from the Ancient Birthplace of the games, Athens.
We have gone all patriotic in the office, and have decorated it in red, white and blue ahead of the Queen’s Jubilee and the Games. We also have our poster of Team GB cyclist, Mark Cavendish, (pictured above) firmly on our office wall to keep us in the Olympic spirit. SWOON!
We are so fired up for the Olympics we have had the official song by Katy B and Mark Ronson blasting out of the office at least three times a day. What are you guys doing for the 2012 Games? Were you lucky enough to get tickets? And who have you got your money on winning? Let us know on our Facebook page.

Who doesn’t love a bit of bling? If you’re a VIP, it’s part of your uniform isn’t it? Last night we attended the Aurora and QVC party with the jewellery being launched by fashion designer, Giles Deacon. The bracelets were being previewed before they hit the home shopping channel and might we say they are rather fabulous. The Swarovski elements in the pieces give the jewels that extra special touch. The loose cut crystals, which will be launching on QVC UK on 10th June at 2pm and 11pm.
Giles, who launched the pieces himself is the king of sparkle and razzmatazz – if these sparklers have his seal of approval then that’s OK with us. At the VIP offices we have a love affair with Giles Deacon clothes and we adored his lace cut swan dress, that Dianna Agron wore to the 2012 Golden Globes, (pictured above). Unfortunately though, Giles is a tad out of our everyday price range, so pouring ourselves into one of his frocks is a long way off. However, the Aurora jewels are within our grasp, so you too could have a little piece of Giles in your life.
The beautiful jewellery focuses on the play of light and shadow, and the effects that light can produce from the pieces. We love the range so much that we are going to have to snap up our favourites when they become available on the home shopping channel – an excuse to watch TV and shop? Yes please! Here are our top three pieces from the collection:
1.) Aurora Necklace made with Swarovski Elements – £49.46
2.) Oval Ring made with Swarovski Elements. £40.17
3.) Flower ring and neckalce made with Swarovski Elements, starting at £40.82
For more information about Aurora Jewellery go to the QVC website.

The Live Like A VIP team take our mission to report on celebrity trends very seriously. So we are thrilled to be able to tell you exactly how you can look a bit like Jessica Alba and support charity at the same time.
The scarf she’s wearing above is from Beulah London, a luxury label that is also ethical – 10% of all profits support the UN’s Blue Heart Campaign against Human Trafficking. And it won’t break the bank at just £80. Given the amount of cold weather we’ve had recently, you’ll get a lot of wear out of it.
The blue version is particularly lovely, but it’s also available in red. Check it out on the Beulah website Gorgeous!
