What happens: Arezoo is known for her radiant facials and painless brazilian techniques.  She also offers a range of other treatments including exclusive Swarovski body jewellery and is also the only therapist in the UK to sell the same wax as New York’s famous J Sisters. It is the perfect choice if you’re looking for celeb quality treatments.

What happens: There’s no need to use plain moisturiser anymore when you can use blemish balm. It has SPF, foundation and moisturiser all in one making getting ready in the morning much easier, as well as giving you a healthy summer glow. Maybelline Dream Fresh blemish balm is available in three different shades depending on your skin tone and it oil-free which means skin won’t get greasy. It also contains glycerin, which will keep your skin hydrated for eight hours, perfect when your on the beach!

Bobbi Brown bronzing powder

Used by: Rihanna loves to wear the bronzer to give her a year round summer glow.

What happens: The bronzer comes in a range of colours depending on your skin tones. The silky-smooth powder offers a sun kissed glow,  perfect especially for the months approaching summer. If your unsure of which colour to go for, the natural colour seems to work well with everyone. If you have light skin, use it lightly to add just a bit of colour without looking too orange. However, if you do have darker skin, apply a few layers to really allow your skin to glow. As the powder doesn’t have a shimmer to it, when applied it makes your face look very natural which always a good look.

Cost: The bronzer costs £26.00 and seems to last for ages!

Boujois Varnish Vanisher

Used by: Singer Adele loves to get off last weeks manicure using the varnish vanisher.

Where: You can buy it from most beauty websites, boots and superdrug.

What happens: Insead of trying to scrub off last weeks polish, the genius new pot makes it alot easier. All you have to do is dip each finger in the foam-soaked sponge, which removes the polish AND nourishes the nail ll in one second. Amazing! The product contains almond oil to keep the nails clean. Plus, you keep it in your handbag just incase your nail chips when your out and about.

Cost: At £4.99 there’s nothing better to do the job.

Used by: Jessica Biel and Demi Moore are both huge fans of using Burt’s Bees products to keep their hair looking its best.

What happens: The collection includes a whole range of treats for your hair. We found that the Super shiny and Sugar Beet shampoo was great for adding that extra bit of shine to our hair. The Avocado Butter Pre-Shampoo Hair treatment was also very good.The volumizing pomegranate and Soy conditioner was also very good. It makes your hair feel re-vitalized and full of volume. All the products are completely natural making using them not only great for our hair but good for the environment too.

Cost: The bottles cost £9.99 from boots.

Chanel’s Inimitable Mascara

Used by: Kristin Cavallari uses this mascara to ensure her lashes always look good.

Where: You can get this mascara at boots.

What happens: When we tried it out, we could understand why Kristen loves it so much. It was great to get longer, full lashes and you can extreme volume without your lashes clumping together. The brush is great for creating a bold curling effect, especially when you have previously curled your eyelashes beforehand. This is definitely a piece to be kept in the make-up bag at all times.

Cost: Although maybe more expensive than your average mascara, at £22.50 you cant go wrong with this product.

Creme de la Mer Moisturiser

Used by: Everyone from Rihanna to Sienna Miller to J-Lo have their hands on this moisturiser.

Where: The moisturiser can be purchased at loads of beauty shops online, or you can find it at plenty of retailers such as John Lewis, House of Fraser and Debenhams.

What happens: The question is what doesn’t happen! Described as the miracle skin solution, it seems this luxury moisturiser will work everything. With ingredients include petrolatum (the contents of Vaseline), glycerine and eucalyptus leaf, the treatment will rejuvenate skin to give it to get rid of any dryness to give it an extra glow. Using it daily will  give you a clearer and firmer looking complexion, leaving your skin smooth and creaseless.

Cost: The product is quite expensive, in some stores costing up to £300 a pot. Have a look round because some shops might be cheaper than other.  However, with so many stars using it it seems the results are going to be well worth it!

Crystal clear oxygen therapy at the Mayfair Hotel

Used by: Kate Middleton had this facial before the royal wedding and Gwyneth Paltrow is also said to be a huge fan.

Where: The Mayfair Hotel is where these two are heading to get this facial done.

What happens: The facial involves the usual cleanse and exfoliating before a contraption blows oxygen across your face. Although the sound of the wind machine is a bit strange, the sensation of the air is amazing and really relaxes you. The therapist then moisturises your face, leaving you feeling relaxed and looking fabulous for days. It really is the best thing before a party.

Cost: A 30-minute treatment costs £30.

Deborah Lippmann Nails

Used by: Lady Gaga, Madonna, Mariah Carey and Meryl Streep have all had their nails done by top manicurist Deborah Lippmann and are always seen wearing the colours in her collection. Stars including Renee Zellweger, Sarah Jessica Parker and Cher have worked with Debrorah to create their own shades.

Where: You can buy the different colours from all over the place, making it easy for you to get your hands on. Plenty of shops such as Debenhams and House of Fraser stock it so have a shop around and find you favourite colours.

What happens: The nail vanish comes in a huge variety of colours, a favourite of ours being Happy Birthday, which has been described by Deborah as ‘a party on your hands’. The varnish is filled with tiny pieces of glitter that look great over another colour or just on it’s own. All of the colours are easy to apply and dry quickly, leaving you with a smooth and sophisticated look once you have finished. You will have celebrity nails in no time!

Cost: The best thing about the colours are the price. Most colours are £14 a pot and last for ages, which is perfect for us and anyone looking to have great nails for less.

Diorshow Mascara by Christian Dior

Used by: It is one of Katy Perry’s favourite products that she keeps with her at all times.

Where: You can buy it from House of Fraser, Selfridges, Debenhams and on amazon.

What happens: This mascara is great and we can see why Katy loves it. It helps lashes look long and full, with lots of volume and so if you’re not feeling like wearing fake eyelashes, this mascara is definitely enough. If you want something different, you can get the same mascara in blue. It works really well and adds that something different to your eye make-up. We can’t get enough of it!

Cost: It costs £23 and seems to last for ages.

Dip Dye Hair by Bleach London

Used By: This hottest hair trend at the moment for celebrities is seen in the locks of many celebs such as Sienna Miller, Drew Barrymore, Lauren Conrad, Alexa Chung and the Geldof sisters.

What Happens: After selecting a colour, whether a simple blonde or crazy turquoise a la Kate Bosworth, you can sit back and relax in this funky salon. No colour is too adventurous at Bleach!

Wah nails is also under the same roof so you can even get a pair of extreme talons to match your new mane whilst you wait!

Once the dye has done its job, your hair will be rinsed, shampooed and conditioned. Then it’s time for your blow-dry and you’ll finally be able to see those bright new tresses.

At first it’s often a startling new look but soon you’ll be craving candyfloss-coloured hair like Nicki Minaj!

Double Gloss Blow Dry at Lisa Shephard’s Salon

Used by: Cheryl Cole, Adele and Beyonce are all fans of blow dried hair styles.

Where: Celebrity hair stylist Lisa Shephard offers a great double gloss blow dry at her salons. Check out her website to see where your closest salon is.

What happens: After having a thorough wash at the salon, your hair is sprayed with a light heat protector, which also smells amazing. It is then sectioned and blow-dried. The process is then repeated with cold air before the hair stylist uses a natural-bristle brush to brush throught your hair. You leave the salon with beautiful glossy hair which makes you look and feel amazing.

Cost: Prices start at £35 depending what else you have done to your hair. It is definitely the treatment to go for if you want big hair and need to be looking your best.

Dry Shampoo

Used  by: A lot of Hollywood stars such as Cheryl Cole, Jennifer Aniston and Kirsten Dunst always like to keep dry shampoo handy to keep their tresses looking great, especially when working on film shoots and music video when their hair needs to be looking its best.

Where: The great thing about it is you can get it everywhere. Supermarkets, chemists and even some clothes stores stock dry shampoo meaning you can always get you hands on it in an emergency.

What happens: Dry shampoo is great not only to immediately refresh and cleanse hair when you don’t have time to wash it, it is also great for hair texture when you’re trying to create different looks. Simple spray it evenly into your roots, massage it into you scalp and brush it out for a fresh finish. There are a range of different dry shampoos you can get, depending on your hair colour, style or the fragrance you want. Once you give it a go, you will wonder ow you ever lived without it!

Cost: If you’re on a budget then you can get your hands on dry shampoo for £1.50 which we find works perfectly. However, if you are a bit of a luxury lover you can find some for up t0 £30.

Egyptian Magic moisturiser

Used by: Kate Hudson swears buy this product to keep her skin feeling fresh and revitalised. Other fans of the product include Eva Mendes, Gisele Bundchan and stylist-to-the-stars Rachel Zoe.

Where: Vital Life, Revital Stores and Victoria’s Health all sell this product.

What happens: The powerful moisturiser contains olive oil, beeswax, honey and royal jelly and it really does work like magic. It will smooth the skin as well as help redness, rashes and sunburn, meaning it is the ultimate product to have during summer.

Fudge Hair Cement

Used by: Lady Gaga loves this product and uses it to keep all her extreme styles intact.

Where: You can buy it from loads of online stores so it is really easy to get hold of.  You can also visit the Fudge Hair website for more information.

What happens: If you want a style that is going to defy gravity and stay in place then this is the product for you. It will give your hair a strong hold without it losing its shine. You won’t be needing anymore hairspray once you get your hand on this. For best results hold the cement at an arms length and spray evenly over your finished style. Your hair will be looking as good as ever even at the end of the night.

Cost: The cheapest bottle we could find cost £6.85 on Amazon. Bargain!

Used by: A new fixation in the celebrity world, with stars including Jessica Simpson swearing by it.

Where: Salons all over London are introducing this new treatment, with the Aqua Sheko Fish Spa in Kensington a firm favourite. This is what it looks like inside Aqua Sheko – so stylish!

What happens: The idea of dipping your feet in a tank of fish for them to remove your dead skin is certainly not everyone’s idea of a luxuryspa treatment, myself included, so it is safe to say I was a little reluctant to try. However, after hearing the rave reviews and claims of baby soft feet as a result, I felt I owed my toes a break from the high heels and a trip to the tank.

After your feet are cleaned and any excess nail varnish removed (apparently this can kill the fish, so it is good idea to ensure your toes are varnish free), you are placed on a stool and instructed to place your feet slowly into the adjacent tank. You are told to keep your toes curled to avoid grabbing the fish in between them if you jump.

Instantly, the tiny black garra ruffa fish flock. Your dry skin to them is the chocolate to us – each to their own! The sensation is completely pain-free, more like a light tickling. It is best to think of it as just a pedicure, rather than nibbling, as this allows you to relax. Once I relaxed, I began to really enjoy the feeling.

Treatments are available for different time periods. I had a 20-minute session, and once the time was up my feet were rinsed and massaged with moisturiser. As bizzare as the whole experience is, the difference in my newly exfoliated feet was clear to see, from everything to soft heels and smooth cuticles around my toenails. The more sessions you have, the softer your feet become!

Cost: At Aqua Sheko a fish pedicure costs £45 or £30 for a 25 minute express fish pedicure and feet wash. However, keep an eye out for special offers.

Used by: Nicole Kidman and Mariah Carey are both big fans of this treatment.

Where: The facial is exclusive to the Urban Retreat at Harrods.

What happens: Gold is used to keep the skin looking youthful as well as being great for softness, rejuvenation, radiance and firming and so this facial is the ultimate treatment for anyone wanting celebrity looking skin. The treatment begins with a cleansing and facial massage before having a deep and exfoliation. Lots of high-end creams and lotions are massaged into the skin before the gold mask is applied. The gold comes in the form of tiny carat-gold leaves which are rubbed carefully into the face.

Your skin afterwards feels amazing and you can still see the tiny bits of gold on your face giving it a definite glow. Your skin instantly looks healthy and radiant and feels a lot firmer. The effect  of the treatment last for three days.

Cost: As you can imagine, a gold facial doesn’t come cheap costing £110 for the hour. However, for that special event, the results are definitely worth it.

Hair Extensions by Michelle Griffin

Used By: MOST female celebrities as it’s vital to have extra body on TV and in films and music videos. Cheryl Cole and  Dannii Minogue had them for The X Factor, Beyonce’s used them on tour and Britney Spears is addicted!

What Happens: After a relaxing wash and condition while sitting on a massage chair, Michelle dried my hair and talked me through the process. This is great if you’re a hair extension virgin.

Michelle’s been applying extensions for 20 years so she knows her stuff. She uses the finest quality Indian hair (better than Remy hair that’s offered in some salons). And she knows how to apply them so it doesn’t damage your own hair – ie by applying lots of  small bonds rather than in clumps. You’ll get about 150 bonds in total.

Experience means Michelle is quick and you can get a full-head done in two hours, which is twice as fast as most salons. And in that time, you’ll be offered lunch, drinks and all the latest magazines.

The extensions lasted us 12 weeks.

Where? In your own bathroom – bliss! This is one of the quickest beauty treats we’ve tested as there’s no need to travel to a spa, wait around, have the treatment then pay. All you need to do is grab a bottle from Waitrose when you do your weekly shop or shop online at the Daniel Galvin Jr website and get it delivered to your house.

What Happens? As soon as you take the top off the Hangover Hair shampoo bottle, a fragrant smell of lavender envelopes your senses. As your apply a palm size amount to your hair, it feels lighter and smoother than a lot of other shampoos so we felt it wasn’t leaving a build-up. Once we finished with the conditioner our hair felt silky smooth to the touch and we were amazed by how it seemed to shine after we blow dried it. The lavender smell lasted at least 12 hours putting us in a really good mood for the day.

Daniel Galvin Jr also does a range of Organic Juice shampoos and conditioners with flavours like Honeydew and Watermelon. We want to try that next!

What happens: The product is perfect for natural or coloured hair.  The shampoo cleanses and nourishes the hair while gently intensifying the colour. The ingredients, which are all from natural origin, will not only in enhacing shine to your hair but will prolong the colour’s vitality.

Soprano XL Pain Free Laser Hair Removal

Used By: All the Hollywood actresses use laser hair removal to get preened before film shoots. You can get different types of lasers but the Soprano XL technique is pain-free, so you can lie back and read (a script or a book) or just relax while it’s being done.

What Happens? You’re met by a therapist, who takes your medical details and explains what the treatment will be like.

Having had VPL hair treatment before, I have to admit I was sceptical it could be pain free. IPL and VPL heat up the skin to 100 degrees so the hair follicle pops out at the root, which is not entirely pleasant. The nozzle is shaped like a bar code scanner and the therapist has one chance of pointing it on an area.

However, the Soprano XL laser heats up to 50 degrees and it works by providing a continous source of heat to an area. This means there is no chance of missed patches as the therapist can work the nozzle repeatedly on an area. The area feels nicely warm – like you’re on a sunbed – rather than being painful. Seriously, if I closed my eyes and had to guess what treatment I was having, I would not have said hair removal as it was actually quite therapeutic.

But did it work? I’ve had one session so far on my bikini line so I’ll let you know when I’ve done the next one. You’re advised to leave 4-6 weeks between appointments to fit in with your hair’s growth cycle.

What Happens: First developed in Japan, the Iyashi Dôme, in which clients are baked in a blisteringly hot cubicle, comes from the ancient technique of being buried in warm sand to detoxify via perspiration. Thankfully technology has come on a long way since then…The modern Iyashi Dome allows the user to lie back and relax on a comfortable wooden bed, whilst listening to soothing Japanese influenced music. The technology of the unique black carbon dome gradually heats up the body by emitting vibrations of far-infrared rays that are in line with the far-infrared rays which are naturally produced within the body.

A friendly therapist gives me a class of water to drink, hands me some paper knickers and leaves me to lie down on my front. After 15 mins, she returns and helps me turn onto my back. It was tough at times – you started to panic about how much water you are losing but 30 mins passed really quickly. The therapist comes back, hands me another glass of water and tells me the 30 mins I have just spent lying down are the equivalent of a 20km run, except better for the knees, and I should see the results in terms of weightloss and body fat reduction very soon.

It takes a while to get up as the treatment leaves you feeling lightheaded, but as soon as you go back onto the street outside you cool down and feel lots more energetic. It feels like your whole body has been cleansed. No wonder Gwyneth and Paltrow are fans!

What happens: Baby oil is great if your wanting to achieve celebrity shiny legs.  Simply apply the baby oil lightly after showing to bare arms and legs for a red carpet glow. We also found that Johnson’s Baby Oil Gel is also great for lips as well as keeping eyeshadow on throughout the night. Just put it on before you apply any colour and your make-up will be looking fresh until you have to take it off.

Cost: Prices range from 82p to £1.50. Who knew looking good would be so cheap and easy!

Used By: Many celebrities have used Keratin Hair Treatment to get glossy locks, for example Sienna Miller.

Where: Lots of salons can now provide this treatment. Adee Phelan’s salons in London and Birmingham offer 25% off your first treatment.

What Happens: Keratin is naturally found in hair but frequently abusing it with styling and heating reduces keratin’s quality. The keratin is applied in a liquid solution to your hair. Heat is then applied to activate the keratin and seal it to your hair.

The keratin relaxes the curls and frizz in your hair, meanwhile enhancing the shine and health of your hair. The sessions normally last about two hours. The effects normally last two to three months, depending on your hair.

Cost: Anything from £100 – 300+.

Kerastase Hair products

Used by: Taylor Swift, Blake Lively and Tess Daly all love Kerastase products, especially this shampoo.

Where: You can buy all the product on the Kerastase products on the website.

What happens: We can see why these hair products are popular with celebrities. They are so good even we can’t choose a favourite. The new Kerastase Bain de Force shampoo is great for rebuilding and strengthening hair if you have been straightening it too much. It made our hair feel silky smooth as if we had just stepped out the salon. If you have long hair, then the perfect choice for you is the Crystalliste range. All the products are filled with a liquid light formula that stops long hair from looking tired and dull. The other great product that we feel we can’t live without this summer is Kerastase’s new Huile Celeste product, which protects hair from the sun and gives it that extra shine it deserves. You just put it on dry or damp hair and style as usual. Amazing if your about to jet away for a beach break!

Cost: Prices range depending on the product. The cheapest is £13 and range to £45 or more.

Kiehl’s eye make-up remover

What happens: The make-up remover contains three ingredients; Apricot Kernel Oil, Beta-Carotene and Cucumber Fruit Extract which makes the product gentle on the skin. The product is lightweight and non-greasy and so is great as a make-up remover and a cleanser after a long night of partying. You just apply a small amount to a pad or tissue and remove make-up. It is also safe for anyone who wear contact lenses.

What Happens: After you are led into the basement of the salon, (it’s super posh and very private – perfect for celebs), you are treated to a drink of your choice and sit down to relax. The beauty therapist will then ask you what shade of tan you are looking for – this is very important as you do not want to be mahogany! It’s then time to strip, (privately of course) down to some paper knickers and bra if you require. It is then a case of standing and waiting to be sprayed by the experts. Perfect – a tanning transformation within minutes. Be warned though, you may not look overly tanned to begin with, but it is a gradual process. Give it a couple of hours and you will turn into a bronze Goddess.

Handy Tip: Exfoliate your skin the day before and moisturise well. NEVER scrub your skin afterwards and after a shower, carefully pat yourself with the towel.

VPL Hair Removal

Used By: Lots of celebrities have had VPL (variable pulsed light) therapy to get rid of unwanted body hair but few admit it. One who has gone on record is Kim Kardashian, who used VPL ahead of a calendar photoshoot.

Where: I visited the CityPoint Club in London, but it’s available at salons nationwide. I suggest doing a Google Search for VPL to find a salon near you

What Happens: I laid on a comfortable massage bed, so felt really relaxed and the therapist smeared cooling gel over my armpits.

I felt safe as I’d had a patch test earlier in the week. Plus the therpaist explained while other light energy hair removal systems can deliver only one beam of light at a set wavelength, VPL uses over 400 wavelengths at varying pulse lengths ‚Äì meaning that it can be adapted for different skin types and different hair thicknesses.

I was given some funky sunglasses to protect my eyes and then the machine was switched on. Its not as scary as I expected – a small 10cm by 2cm rectangle attached to a machine.

The lasers work by heating up the hair follicle to 70 degrees and then zapping them at the shaft. The skin temperature stays below 45-50 degrees at the surface, so it is not that painful.

That’s not to say it is entirely comfortable ‚Äì it feels a bit like popping candy exploding underneath the skin! But when you know each underarm session lasts just five minutes then you know you can handle it.

You need six sessions for a noticeable difference.

Cost: It depends on the size of the treatment area. A course of six for the underarms is £450, the bikini line £475 and the upper lip £275

Matrix Biolage Hair balm

Used by: Kelly Rowland is a fan of straightening her hair so she used Matrix hair balm to keep it moisturize and looking healthy.

Where: The product is applied at home. Put a handful of treatment onto damp hair after its been washed, moisturise it into your head and then rinse it out. You can buy the treatment from many online beauty websites.

What happens: The treatment moisturises hair by stopping the dehydration cycle with the Anti-Dry care of Aloe and Passion Fruit. Your hair will be revitalised and feel healthy again, making it easier to manage. It is a particularly good treatment in the summer months when hair tends to get dry from the sun.

Cost: This particular product costs around £10.50 but other products in the same range cost more depending on what they do.

What Happens: It began with a quick cleanse which smelt divine! This relaxed me ahead of the microdermabrasion part. This involves a small machine which plugged into the wall and used by the therapist to massage over my face. I could almost feel the dead skin cells falling off as she did it, and it wasn’t painful in the slightest.

Next came a relaxing face mask (Crystal Clear mini lift mask). I was left in a dark room for fifteen minutes with some gentle music and I don’t think I have ever felt so relaxed. And knowing how much my skin was going to be loving me for this made it even better.

When the therapist returned it was time for my skin to get some serious oxygen. Living in London, with all the smog and pollution you often forget how good your skin feels after a country walk and the oxygen part of this facial really made me feel like I was treating my skin after months of abuse in the smoky city.

After the oxygen, my therapist explained that my skin was very dry in areas (too much cold weather and heating) and so she applied a thick moisturiser and suggested I use a more nourishing moisturiser on my cheeks in future.

The Cost: £80 for 60 minutes at Emporium. Prices vary from salon to salon. In London’s CityPoint Club it’s £65 for 55 minutes.

Minx Nails

Used by: Celebrities everywhere are getting Minxed. From Rhianna to Agyness Dean. Lady Gaga wore them for her Just Dance video and the Poker Face Album Cover.

What happens:The first step is to choose your favourite design from the vast, ever-expanding range. These range from solid metallics, various animal prints, floral patterns and many more.

Once you have made the difficult selection of your chosen design, they are sized to your nails to ensure the best possible fit for a perfect finish. Minx nails are a solid film with heat activated adhesive backing, which allows the film to mould to the curve of the nail and seal it onto the nail bed. There are absolutely no chemicals involved in the application of Minx, only heat and pressure. Any excess is removed using a specifically designed Minx glass nail file.

The extensive list of different patterns and designs means you may want to frequently change your nails. This is easy enough; just as it takes heat to apply, it takes only heat to remove. This can be as simple as a hairdryer in your own bedroom. Once the seal is broken, the film easily peels away, leaving your nails bare and free to experiment with more designs, with absolutely no damage or chipping to your nails.

They last up to six weeks on toenails, and around 10 days on fingernails, as the nail grows out leaving a gap between the pattern and the cuticle.

Li’tya Mala Mayi Massage At The Montcalm Hotel Nikko

What Happens: The massage price includes full use of the hotel’s spa facilities which are gorgeous. There is a decent sized pool, a sauna that you could spend all day in and then comfortable chairs to relax and let your stresses melt away.

But then there’s the treatment itself, which is exactly how it is described on the Montcalm’s spa menu:

Moor Mud Beauty Treatment

Used by: Kate Moss, Daisy Lowe, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kim Cattrall all love the mud experience treatment.

Where: The Dorchester offers a mud experience that loads of celebs are very fond of.

What happens: Mud has been used for centuries and it obviously works as celebs keep going back for more.  Strangely, the treatment involves exactly what is says…mud. You are placed in a bath of Moor mud, which is a thick, oil-looking substance. It isn’t as bad as you think its going to be and once you get in you feel relaxed and comfortable.  The mud is a mix of clay and serums which disperse fat and tones your skin to restore elasticity.

After the bath you get out, feeling very relaxed and a little sleepy. Your skin however feel amazing and its not until the next day that you realise just how good the treatment is. You are also given a scalp massage which is the perfect treat especially if your body is feeling tired and in need of some TLC.

Cost: It costs £100 for an hour and ten minutes.

Used By: Celebs love this secret salon. Tucked away behind Baker Street, this salon has the privacy that celebs such as Olivia Wilde want when they are indulging in treatments.

What happens: This is the perfect way to kick back and relax for 30 minutes and have some beautiful nails by the end of it. When we visited the salon, we were treated to a full manicure and even tried the new ESSIE Olympic colour nail polishes, (pictured above).

The first step is to choose which nail colour you want – there are over 30 to choose from so you have your work cut out for you. We chose Coral Reef which is a shade dedicated to the 2012 games – we’re getting into the spirit already.

After choosing the colour you then sit back in the super comfy chairs whilst the manicurist files your nails into a wearable shape. The nails are then buffed and shined so the polish has an even surface and soaked to soften the cuticles.

After the cuticles are as softened they are trimmed and pushed back evenly. A cuticle oil is rubbed into each nail, a hand cream applied and massaged into the hand and arm, (which was so relaxing we nearly fell asleep). The base coat is then applied, as this will prevent the polish from staining the nails. The nail colour of choice is then swept on twice and sealed with a top coat. Voila! Perfect summer nails – and we have to say they look damn good. Don’t believe us? See for yourself:

The polish can last up to two weeks depending on how much care you take of your hands.

Per-fekt Skin Perfection Gel

Used by: The Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence uses the product when she is getting ready for a big carpet event.

Where: House of Fraser, Amazon and makeupalley.com all sell the product.

What happens: The gel is used as a primer, foundation and powder in one which is great if you don’t have all the time in the world to do your make-up. It allows skin to look smooth and glow,  by covering redness and lines, giving you a more natural look. However, be careful though to not put a lot of it on as it can come out quite thick. We found less is more when we tried it out!

Cost: A bottle costs £49.50 and contains 240 pumps which means it does last a long time.

Rodial glam balm

Used by: A whole host of celebrities are fans of Rodial glam balm including Eva Longoria, Sienna Miller, Jessica Biel, Sarah Jessica Parker and Cheryl Cole.

Where: You can buy the glam balm on the Rodial website or you can buy it from Selfridges and House of Fraser.

What happens: The glam balm is an intensive anti-ageing balm. It is a favourite among celebs because it instantly hydrates the skin to make it smooth and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Calendula, Shea Butter and Vitamin E are all part of the ingrediants which help to restore moisture in the skin. Just apply the cream at night, concentrating on dry skin. Also if you have been in the sun it is great to help re-hydrate the skin. No wonder VIP’s love it.

Plus, you can also get Rodial glam lip balm which does the same thing on the lips! We will be checking that out very soon.

Cost: Prices range from £30 to £49.

Vita Liberata Self-Tan

Used by: It’s the official tan of The X Factor, giving the finalists a golden glow each week. Other celebrity fans include Sienna Miller and Kelly Brook

What Happens: The tan is odourless so I was able to pop into the Chelsea Day Spa after work and before meeting friends for drinks. The tan did develop over drinks but it’s a gradual process and it doesn’t streak. Some celebrities have the tan in the morning and go out that night to the red carpet safe in the knowledge they will be slightly browner but without the biscuit-y smell and orange shine that accompany other tans.

Vita Liberata has three types of spray tans to suit all skin types – Hawaii, Ecuador and Brazil. Hawaii is for paler skin types, Ecuador provides a stronger mediterranean glow while Brazil suits dark skin types and provides a really strong Brazilian tan.

I went for the Ecuador and although I was slightly nervous about stripping down, putting on paper knickers and standing virtually naked in front of a lady I had never met, the therapist made me feel really at ease. And she recommended some products to take away, just in case I was short of time to come back to the salon.

Cost: The product is £22.50 for 200ml at Boots Spray tans vary from salon to salon. At The Chelsea Day spa it is £45 for a relaxing 45 minute treatment

Smith’s Rosebud Lip Salve

Used by: Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Leighton Meester, Kirsten Dunst and Lea Michele all consider the lip balm as a handbag must.

Where: Loads of online beauty shops sell the product meaning we can keep stocking up all the time. House of Fraser, American Apparel and Boots all sell the lip balm.

What happens: The lip salve is the perfect remedy for chapped lips while also keeping them smooth and soft.  The menthol and eucalyptus flavour is a favourite with the stars that keeps them using it time and time again. It is also in a cute little pot that fits perfectly in any bag.

Cost: A pot costs £6.75. You can check out the product any other products in the Smith’s range at their website.

Stila Lip Stain

Used by: Zooey Deschanel says she loves to wear Stila Lip stain in a pinky shade.

Where: You can buy Lip stain in a range of colours from Stila.

What happens: The great thing about this product is that it does two things in one. The lip stain gives you instant glamour gratification and will stay on all night so you don’t have to worry so much about re-applying it and the cheek stain acts like a blusher to define your cheeks. They come in a great range of colours that all react to the PH levels in your skin, to create the perfect colour for your tone of skin. Zooey’s favourite colour is Yumberry, which gives cheeks and lips a subtle shade of pink.

Cost: £16 but remember your getting two things for the price of one. It is also perfect for when your taking out a smaller bag!

Tangle Teezer Hairbrush

Used by: Hairdresser to the stars Jamie Stevens used one on Elle Mcpherson after her long extensions were getting a little knotty. Since then he says she uses it all the time to keep her hair fit for a supermodel.

Where: The professional detangling brush is easy to get hold of. They are available online on amazon and asos and in other shops including boots.

What happens: Simply use it like a normal hairbrush when your hair is feeling tangled for professional results. It has been designed specifically in a concave shape so that it delivers firm, salon style brushstroked from your roots to the tip of your hair. It’s perfect for anyone who has a sensitive scalp as it can remove knots without any pulling or pain and will give you a high gloss finish.

Cost: The brushes range in different colours and shapes so some are more than others, but generally they cost between £7 and £11.

Teeth Whitening by Pearlys

Used By: All male and female celebrities need to dazzle the cameras wherever they go, so practically all of them have tried out some form of teeth whitening. Alexandra Burke and JLS are big fans of Pearlys Teeth Whitening.

Where: Pearlys has a range of clinics across London and the South East including the Urban Retreat at Harrods.

What Happens: After a consultation to check that your not-so-pearly whites are suitable for the process, the whitening begins. A device is placed into your mouth which feels really strange but means your lip and tongue will be held away from your teeth. Also a desensitizing liquid is applied to the top of your teeth to stop them hurting. The fact there is no pain is quite a relief as the whole experience is pretty alien!

Finally, the whitening begins as soon as the whitening gel has been applied to the teeth and is lit with a special light for 8 to 10 minutes.

At the end of the treatment, you’ll be able to compare the before and after pictures of your teeth and see a huge improvement after just one treatment.

You’ll have super-white fangs to make any Twilight vampire jealous!
