The Live Like A VIP team are addicted to Keeping Up With The Kardashians so when we heard the bootylicious Kim was coming to London, we were on a mission to meet her. We thought we might explode with excitement when we got invited to her perfume launch party…and then we got invited to her Quick Trim diet product launch too. SQUEALS!
It gets better…we were asked if we wouldn’t mind taking part in the hit E! show, which we thought about for a nanoscend. Errr, YESSSSS Please!
The night started at London’s Rose club, where Kim was hosting the party to celebrate the launch of her newest fragrance True Reflections. (This is her 4th scent). Accompanied by her almost brother in law Rob Disick, Kim gave a speech thanking the crowd for coming and thanking the perfume manufacturers for making the smell. As you do…
Then it gets slightly more interesting as the drinks are poured. We thought Kim would be a bit of a Champagne girl (like us) but her favourite tipple is Midori. Yes, the green liqueur…
She looked fantastic in a red midi skirt with a black lace top, showing off her famous curves BUT we spotted a minor wardrobe malfuntion as the top lost some of its sequins and Kim kept touching herself as they fell off. She didn’t look very comfortable. However, she made the best of the situation and happily posed for some photos with some competition winners.
Ex rugby player Gavin Henson managed to charm his way into the VIP area so he was sat within metres of her but sadly for his ego, Kim didn’t have a clue who she was. Gavin was left cradling a midori for one as Kim swooshed out of the club less than an hour after arriving and went on to her next appointment, an outfit change along the way.
The second dress showed more of her physique, probably as she was there to promote her range of diet products, Quick Trim (buy online here). Again, there were lots of competition winners who ended up explaining to Kim all about The Only Way is Essex. Speaking to Lucie Cave from Heat, Kim smiles pleasantly but we don’t think she is that impressed. Here’s an exclusive video.
We’re not really allowed to give away any more than this but we’ll let you know when it airs on e! Are the Live Like A VIP team STILL Kardashian fans after a night out with the dazzling diva Just look at our happy faces below. Yes!

Kim Kardashian is in the UK, filming her amazing show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
We went behind the scenes and here are some photos of a storyline about her fragrance launch. Full story to follow…
Of course dresses will always be the order of the day for the red carpet, but off-duty, celebs, fashion editors and bloggers have helped champion the trouser as one of the top trends for 2012.
Singer Nicola Roberts, stylist Grace Woodward and blogger Bip Ling were among those papped in patterned pants at London Fashion Week earlier this year, representing the trend for eye-popping florals, animal prints and checks which is updating the humble trousers all over the high fashion and high street catwalks.
But it’s not just traditional trews that have been given a make-over this year. Jeans – that perennial off-duty celeb favourite – have also been afforded a new lease of life with pastel hues and primary colours, as well as popping patterns, bleached details and Seventies’ flares.
Bright and tight
Denim departments in high street stores have been brought to life this season with a rainbow selection of bottoms bound to cheer up any outfit. With colour blocking and pretty pastels two of the hottest trends this year, a pair of coloured jeans is an outfit-building essential for both day and night.
We love how Jessica Alba has clashed blue, green and pink to add interest to an everyday outfit, and are due to see green in bottle, grass and highlighter-bright shades become a key colour for jeans in A/W12/13.
But for the spring/summer season, it’s time to parade in pastels. From coral, peach and pink to baby blue, mint green and purple, these soft hue trews were among the most popular items snapped by street style photographers at London Fashion Week and Eva Longoria, Cheryl Cole and Katy Perry have all stepped out in a pair.
Look for skinny styles and wear with colour-clashing heels, a loose tee and blazer for the perfect balance between casual and chic. And make sure you choose your lingerie carefully to avoid VLPs.
Hippie or punk?
If coloured jeans aren’t for you, make a style statement with to fit and detail or your jeans. While skinnies aren’t going anywhere, Seventies flares have returned to the fashion forefront and edgy ripped and bleached styles are also proving a hit with celebs.
Katie Holmes, Paris Hilton, Vanessa Hudgens and the queen of boho chic Nicole Richie have been spotted rocking the flare this year. Tight-fitting on top with a long length, this style can help balance out curvy figures and add a few inches if worn with wedges to complete that Seventies look. Diesel jeans are among the top denim brands to bring this style back up to date and this trend is only going to get bigger in the summer months, when damp pavements are no longer a concern.
With the punk revival seeing studded hot pants, leather biker jackets and vintage band T-shirts become not just festival attire but high street fashion friendly, distressed denim is another key look this summer. Rihanna, Kate Bosworth and Rachel Bilson are among the celebs to have gone for grunge with ripped and bleached jeans and even the super-groomed Victoria Beckham is a long-time fan. This season look for skin-tight styles with bleached or stonewash effect and vertical rips on the legs and wear with simple black heels and basic top for effortless cool.
Who said celeb-style dressing was high maintenance? Invest in a pair of new-season staple jeans, a few good quality loose cotton tees, statement shoes (always) and your favourite perfume and you’re good to go…almost anywhere!

VIP Style Steal: Get Jess Alba’s Exact Scarf

The Live Like A VIP team take our mission to report on celebrity trends very seriously. So we are thrilled to be able to tell you exactly how you can look a bit like Jessica Alba and support charity at the same time.
The scarf she’s wearing above is from Beulah London, a luxury label that is also ethical – 10% of all profits support the UN’s Blue Heart Campaign against Human Trafficking. And it won’t break the bank at just £80. Given the amount of cold weather we’ve had recently, you’ll get a lot of wear out of it.
The blue version is particularly lovely, but it’s also available in red. Check it out on the Beulah website Gorgeous!

Have you entered any of our VIP competitions yet? There’s more chance of winning one than winning the lottery and all the prizes have been picked by us to make sure they are 100% fabulous. Recently, we accompanied the winner of our Suntory Whisky competition to London’s five star Corinthia Hotel.
Matteo Zarandy was randomly picked out of 1,000 entrants and won a cocktail masterclass with expert drinks maker Zoran Peric. Zoran, who’s an ambassador for Suntory, and has been behind some of our favourite bars in London and around the world, spent two hours showing us how to make whisky drinks that looked sophisticated and tasted better than we ever imagined. Here’s a video of the Rob Roy – anyone can make this:
Zoran shaked, stirred and told us how to pour tonic water properly – if you pour it straight over ice you will lose the bubbles so you need to pour it slowly over a spoon.
We also learned how to make a Whisky Sour and Zoran talked us through the origins of Japanese Whisky (a lot smoother on the palate then Scottish brands, we thought)
Then our winner walked away with a bottle of Hibiki 17 year old worth £70. Sadly he didn’t share any with us…
REMEMBER: Prizes still available on the competition page are a pro swingball (so you can get a VIP body and practise for Wimbledon), a dozen cupcakes (so you can be the host with the most) and a VIP family ticket for the Happy Days festival on Saturday 2 June. Click here to see more details
Katy B Interview
Wednesday 16th of May 2012 07:25 by zoegrif
Not content with singing the Olympic tune, Katy B is getting all athletic on us and is getting in tip top shape with the Nike training club. The red headed singer, who we have to say is looking in great shape is gearing up for her summer performance at the Olympics and at Nike’s first Training Club Live Festival. The festival will take place at Old Billingsgate Market, in London on the 7th July and will see Katy performing and even taking part in the Nike activities.
We caught up with Katy B to ask about her exercise regime, festival fashion and how Mark Ronson cannot be trusted:
LLAVIP: How do you like to work out?
Katy: I do the Nike Training club every Tuesday and I work with my trainer Sonia too. She works me hard, but the music we play is really important as it keeps me motivated. I really like Rihanna’s We Found Love.
LLAVIP: Which athlete are you backing this summer?
Katy: There’s a table tennis player called Darius Knight who’s from Battersea, so I will definitely be backing him. I also love Paula Radcliffe who I bumped into the other day, and got completely starstruck.
LLAVIP: What are your festival fashion tips?
Katy: I’m really liking the wedge trainers. I can’t really wear heels on stage as I like to run around a lot, so these are perfect.
LLAVIP: We’ve heard through the grapevine that Mark Ronson is a bit of a practical joker. Did he plays any jokes on you in the studio?
Katy: I’m quite a gullible person so when he tells me something I can’t tell if he’s taking the mickey. He can keep a straight face so he sometimes tells me things and makes me believe them.
LLAVIP: Do you think your friend, Jessie J is getting a bad time over The Voice?
Katy: People need to remember what The Voice is all about. It’s about the talent and everything else should be forgotten about.
Dashi Namdakov At The Halcyon Gallery
It’s all very well hanging out in the world’s best restaurants and bars but when was the last time you treated your eyes to a visual feast? I’m talking art galleries. Not just the tourist traps like the Tate or the National Portrait Gallery, but something where the pieces have been carefully created. You can [...]
